The CBI took over the case from SIT on Saturday after the orders of the single bench of Calcutta High Court. Subsequently, it registered an FIR against former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandeep Ghosh.
The financial irregularities case came to light after students and doctors alleged huge financial irregularities in RG Kar, prompting an investigation by Kolkata Police. The probe was later taken over by the SIT.
The CBI, which took over the investigation after five days of the crime, conducted the polygraph test of six people, including Sandeep Ghosh, related to the Kolkata rape and murder case.
The CBI on Thursday sought a polygraph test on former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh and four other junior doctors in connection with the case.
