Royal Challengers Bangalore have scripted history as they lifted their maiden title across franchise leagues in WPL 2024

RCB defeated the Delhi Capitals to clinch the WPL 2024 crown and become the new champions of the Indian tournament

With their win, they have become the first-ever team across IPL and WPL to have scripted a pretty rare record

For the first time in IPL or WPL, all three top awards - Orange cap, Purple cap and the WPL title - have gone to only one team or players of it

Ellyse Perry was honoured with the orange cap for her splendid outing in WPL 2024 with 347 runs in the tournament

She was pivotal in her team's success in the later stages of the tournament and starred in the last three matches with the bat and the ball too

Shreyanka Patil won the Purple cap for scalping 13 wickets in WPL 2024, going one clear of Asha Shobana and Sophie Molineux

Shreyanka had suffered a hairline fracture to her non-bowling arm during the first leg of the tournament but starred for RCB

With this, all three major honours came RCB's way making them first in IPL/WPL history with such a rare record
