Ruturaj Gaikwad with a 77* and a quickfire 49 has done well in a couple of the games for India in the ongoing Zimbabwe series and since both of the innings didn't come while opening the innings, it made them even more impressive

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill are fighting for that one spot, of third opener, in the Indian T20 team with Abhishek Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal expected to be the first-choice openers. Currently, Gaikwad is ahead of Gill given that he has done the job whatever was asked of him, whether at No 3, or now at No 4 and is also playing at a good tempo
