Mumbai Indians finally won their first match of IPL 2024 with a 29-run win over Delhi Capitals.
They amassed 234 runs in their 20 overs against Delhi Capitals batting first creating an all-time record in T20 cricket.
There was not a single half-century in the innings and in that aspect, this is the highest total in the history of the shortest format.
The earlier record was with Somerset who had mustered 226 runs in their innings with a high score of 45 back in August 2018 in T20 Blast.
For MI, Rohit Sharma was the highest-scorer opening the innings as he smashed 49 runs off just 27 balls.
However, the real impact was made by Romario Shepherd who smashed an unbeaten 39 off just 10 balls.
