Sikandar Raza was the first player to leave the IPL midway owing to international duty as the all-rounder is leading Zimbabwe in the ongoing T20 series against Bangladesh

Mitch Marsh returned to injury after suffering a tear in his hamstring and was later ruled out of IPL 2024. Marsh will be leading Australia in the T20 World Cup

Mustafizur Rahman too left a few days after Raza to participate in the same series for Banladesh. Rahman didn't get NOC to stay for the IPL

Matheesha Pathirana also left for his home country Sri Lanka to get his hamstring injury sorted. Pathirana like Mustafizur too won't return for the remainder of IPL 2024

Jos Buttler (playing for Rajasthan Royals) and Phil Salt (Kolkata Knight Riders) are likely to leave midway through the season as well given their sides will qualify for the playoffs. England play Pakistan in a four-match T20 series starting May 22 and Salt and Buttler both won't be available in the playoffs
