Yashasvi Jaiswal joins Don Bradman, Sunil Gavaskar in huge record list

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the best batter of the India vs England series so far with his hunger for big scores being a point of success for the Men in Blue

The young opening batter has already smashed two double centuries and two fifties in the ongoing series

Jaiswal made 73 runs in the first innings of the 4th Test and has now joined a list featuring the legends of the game - Don Bradman and Sunil Gavaskar among others

Jaiswal has become just the second Indian and 7th overall to have scored more than 600 runs in a Test series before turning 23

The 22-year-old Jaiswal has scored already scored 618 runs in seven innings with three more still to go

Don Bradman holds the world record for most runs in a series before turning 23 as he made 974 vs ENG in 1930 (This is also the world record for most Test runs in a series at any age group)

For under 23, Jaiswal is the second Indian after Sunil Gavaskar - who made 774 vs WI in 1970 in his debut Test series - to make over 600 runs in a series

Other players with more than 600 runs before turning 23 are - Garry Sobers (824 runs in 1957/58), Graeme Smith (714 runs in 2003), George Headley (703 runs in 1929/30), Neil Harvey (660 runs in 1949/50)

Jaiswal is already the most prolific left-handed batter for India in a test series, having surpassed Sourav Ganguly's tally of 534 runs in a single series
