Pakistan will hope to get 24 points from the two-match Test series against Bangladesh to give themselves breathing space as far as the WTC 2023-25 points table is concerned. Pakistan need to win seven of their remaining nine Tests in the ongoing cycle

Pakistan didn't help themselves by losing 3-0 to Australia but all is not lost. Currently in sixth place, a 2-0 win can help Pakistan jump up three places to No 3 with a 54.7 PCT while a 1-0 series win will only help them climb only to fifth. With tough tours ahead, Pakistan can't afford to drop a game

Bangladesh too are in the running for the WTC final spot, however, they have three away tours lined up for the rest of the ongoing cycle. Bangladesh need to win seven of their eight remaining Tests and hence they don't have much room. One loss they will be in must-win situation and a series defeat would potentially end their challenge

England will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series coinciding with the Pakistan-Bangladesh series. England are already in a must-win situation and one loss might potentially end their chances of qualification for the WTC final

England beat the West Indies 3-0 and if they can replicate the feat against Sri Lanka as well, their PCT will jump up to 48.43. England, who are in 7th place currently, will climb up to fourth as 3-0 defeat will also affect Sri Lanka's position

Sri Lanka, currently in fourth place with 50.00 PCT, need to win six out of their nine remaining matches to push for the WTC final spot. If Sri Lanka win 2-1, their PCT will jump up to 57 but if they lose 1-2, it will reduce to 42.8. If Sri Lanka lose 0-3, they will be pushed into do-or-die zone

South Africa moved a place up with their win over the West Indies 1-0 in the two-match series. The Proteas will rue their chance of winning the series 2-0 but still five wins can take them to the WTC final spot in their remaining six matches

India and Australia are still at the top with 68.52 and 62.50 PCT in the WTC points table and the upcoming five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy will probably be the decisive series for the WTC qualification
