Ravindra Jadeja creates never-before-seen record in IPL during CSK vs KKR match

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja came back to his own as he starred with the ball in CSK's match against KKR

Jadeja took three wickets for 18 runs to derail the Knight Riders in the first innings

Jadeja has now become the first player to create a never-before-seen record in IPL history

The all-rounder has become the first-ever player in IPL with a special trinity of 1000 plus runs, 100 plus wickets and 100 catches in the tournament

Jadeja achieved this trinity after taking two catches in the game against KKR as he already had over 1000 runs and 100 wickets in the tournament

The 35-year-old now has 2776 runs, 156 wickets and exactly 100 catches

He became just the fifth player to complete 100 grabs in the tournament

Before Jadeja, Virat Kohli (110), Suresh Raina (109), Kieron Pollard (103) and Rohit Sharma (100) held the honour

Jadeja was also adjudged as the Player of the Match for his 3/18 with the ball
