In the 2010 Asia Cup, Virender Sehwag scalped 4 wickets by giving just 6 runs in 2.5 overs against Bangladesh. This is the best strike rate by a bowler in an innings of the tournament.

The record for playing the longest innings in the Asia Cup is held by Virat Kohli, who scored 183 runs in 148 balls against Pakistan in 2012.

Arshad Ayub is the only Indian bowler to scalp 5 wickets in an innings. He did this in a match against Pakistan in the 1988 edition of the Asia Cup.

Former Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis holds the record for taking most wickets in an Asia Cup match. Mendis took 6/13 in the final against India in 2008.
