Australian pacer Brett Lee became the first bowler in history to have both ODI and a T20I hat-trick in his name

In the 2003 ODI World Cup, Brett Lee achieved a hat-trick against Kenya dismissing Kennedy Otieno, Brijal Patel and David Obuya in consecutive deliveries in the fourth over of the innings

Four years later, in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, Lee sent back Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza and Alok Kapali against Bangladesh. Incidentally, this was the first-ever hat-trick in T20Is

Thisara Perera, a surprise name in the list, registered his ODI hat-trick against Pakistan in 2012 sending back Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi and Sarfaraz Ahmed in consecutive deliveries. In 2016, Perera entered the rare list of hat-tricks in T20Is and ODIs as he sent back Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh against India

South African quick Kagiso Rabada registered his ODI hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2015 when he dismissed Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das and Mahmudullah in consecutive deliveries. Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan spinner achieved his first hat-trick in international cricket in an ODI against Zimbabwe when he accounted for wickets of Malcolm Waller, Donald Tiripano and Tendai Chatara. Four years later in T20 World Cup 2021 match in Sharjah, Hasaranga pegged South Africa back with wickets of Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma and Dwaine Pretorius
