Sikkim flood havoc: More than 3,500 tourists rescued by army

Approximately 3,500 tourists who were stranded in North Sikkim due to landslides and roadblocks were rescued by the Army, according to officials.

On Friday, the Lachen, Lachung, and Chungthang valleys in Sikkim were enveloped in heavy downpours.

As a result, vehicular traffic was disrupted, and the road between the North Sikkim district headquarters in Mangan and Chungthang was blocked at Pegong Supply Khola.
