PM Modi shares 'amazing' artwork of Diu by Padma Shri Awardee Premjit Baria

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the beautiful artwork of famous landmarks in Diu, presented to him by Padma Shri awardee Premjit Baria.

Padma Shri awardee Premjit Baria is an eminent painter who specialises in Contemporary Art.

The Prime Minister shared the artwork in a tweet and stated that Shri Premjit Baria had given him these beautiful pieces of art a few days before.

"A few days ago, I received these amazing works of art from Shri Premjit Baria Ji, who has just been conferred the Padma Shri. The works include famous landmarks of Diu. Have a look...," PM Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister also hoped that his work would inspire everyone to visit Diu in the years to come. "Here is some more artwork by Shri Premjit Baria Ji. I also hope this work would inspire you all to visit Diu in the times to come," he said in another tweet.

He made miniature paintings and sketches fiddling with a gel pen on Portuguese Architecture and folk art.

Baria has been drawing Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in his creations. Diu is well known for having a nostalgic Portuguese past which is still somewhat seen in its architecture, culture, and cuisine.

Premjit Baria specialises in Contemporary Art and was awarded Padma Shri this year.
