Where EVMs Go: Post-Polling and Post-Counting Security Explained

After polls close, EVMs are transported to counting centres under tight security. Candidates and their agents are allowed to follow the transport vehicles.

EVMs are stored in secure strong rooms within the Counting Centre premises. The strong rooms are sealed in the presence of candidates, their agents, and Election Commission Observers.
