I.N.D.I.A bloc challenges PM Modi in Mumbai in show of strength

Several prominent leaders from political parties came together in Mumbai in a show of unity.

Leaders like Congress Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray were present at the meet.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin, Jharkhand Hemant Soren, Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Bhagwant Mann and Bihar Nitish Kumar were also present.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, arrived a day few days earlier.

The alliance leaders said that they came together to save the Constitution and democracy in the country.

Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said the need of the hour is to strengthen the unity and sovereignty of the country, and protect the Constitution and democracy.

The I.N.D.I.A. alliance also finalised a 13-member committee comprising members of various parties.

The coordination committee will function as the bloc's highest decision-making body and will start work on seat sharing immediately.

According to sources, seat sharing will be finalised by September 30. Soren, AAP's Raghav Chadha, JDU's Lallan Singh, NC's Omar Abdullah among others will be part of the coordination committee.
