Vibrant colors, pandals and huge idols are seen lighting up the country as India is gearing up to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi 2022 after two full years of Covid-19 norms, restrictions.

For the first time in two years, the festivities are set to reach pre-Covid levels.

In Mumbai, onset of the pandemic in March 2020 had forced the civic body to impose several restrictions on the festivities, including a height cap for idols at four feet and two feet for 'sarvajanik' (public) and households respectively.

Starting this August 31, Mumbaikars are all set to enjoy Ganpati festivities without restrictions for the first time since 2020.

Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi, and Jaipur among many cities are waiting to usher in the festival this year.

The Chaturthi Tithi will begin at 03:35 PM on August 30 and go on till 03:25 PM on August 31, and the celebrations will go on for 10 days. Are you as excited as we are?
