The opposition alliance will be called Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA)
The meeting was organised in Bengaluru, in which, a total of 26 parties marked their presence.
Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Modi-led government and said "the fight is against the ideology of BJP."
As per sources, the name of the alliance (INDIA) was suggested by Mamata Banerjee.
Delhi CM Kejriwal also launched a scathing attack on PM Modi and said no development happened in the last nine years.
The third edition of the opposition parties meeting will be held in Mumbai.
A key meeting of the NDA was also held to take on the INDIA alliance in New Delhi.
Along with PM Modi, BJP national chief JP Nadda also joined the meeting.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also marked his presence in the crucial meeting.
PM Modi during the meeting said NDA unites the people of the country while the opposition divides them.
PM took a jibe and said whichever alliance was formed earlier on the basis of negativity, never succeeded.
In the meeting, leaders of 38 parties were welcomed with flower bouquets and stoles amid dhol beats.
