China launched a new Shenzhou-16 manned spaceship to its space station.
The spaceship will be in motion for five months.
The crew included the first civilian to be sent to space by the nation.
Gui Haichao, a professor at Beihang University in Beijing regarded as a payload specialist was among the three astronauts.
Mission’s commander Jing Haipeng is also making history by becoming the first Chinese astronaut to go into space for a record fourth time.
