Boil Water: Heat 1 cup of water in a saucepan until it reaches a rolling boil.
Add Ginger: Peel and thinly slice a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger. Add the slices to the boiling water.
Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the ginger simmer for 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavour.
Strain: Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the tea into a cup to remove the ginger slices.
Enjoy: Add a teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon if desired, and sip your ginger tea warm for soothing digestion.
