Saira Banu fell in love with Dilip Kumar when she was 12. It is believed that Saira’s mother played the cupid in their love story.

Saira was 22 and Dilip was 44 years old, when the couple tied the wedding knot in the year 1966.

After marriage, Saira continued to work in Bollywood films until 1976 when se decided to be a full-time wife and homemaker.

The couple also had differences in the 1980s, just like other couples but they mended things and continued to stay together.

The couple has been seen together at many public events holding each other’s hand.

Saira took immense care of Dilip Sahab when he fell sick. The couple has set the example to stay together in good and bad times.
