Thane Chartered Accountat kills 14 of his family, commits suicide

In shocking incident, a 35-year-old man from Thane allegedly killed 14 of his own family members with a knife at in the wee hours of Sunday  and later hung himself to death.

The accused identified as Hansil Warekar killed eight children, his wife, his three sisters, and his parents.

The police said that the Hansil worked with a private company as a chartered accountant handling their finances.

Based on the preliminary probe, police say that the man allegedly killed 14 members of his family by slitting their throats after sedating them.

According to the police, there was a party organised at the Warekars residence on Saturday night, post which, most of his relatives stayed over.
