While speaking to ANI, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, said, "The decision has come after seven years. We need to make a system so that decisions in such cases don't take seven years and such people should be punished within six months." "Also, we need to make Delhi a safe city where such acts don't even occur," CM Kejriwal added.

    Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, on Tuesday said that the Delhi court's issuance of death warrants to all four convicts in 2012 Delhi gangrape case shows that there should be zero tolerance for such crimes, and the wait for justice is now over. He said, "Wait of the people for justice is over today. It's not about execution of convicts, but the decision shows that there should be zero tolerance for such crimes. Judgement should be delivered at earliest." Earlier, Delhi court issued death warrants against all 4 convicts in the rape case and execution of convicts will be held on 22nd January at 7 AM.
