PM Modi invites Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh over tea to break GST logjam

New Delhi: Reaching out to main opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh for tea at his Race Course Road residence at 7 pm today during which issues like GST may come up.

This assumes significance as the government and the Congress are at loggerheads which is stalling the passage of crucial legislations like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had yesterday said that the Prime Minister is willing to speak to everyone to get the landmark indirect tax law through.
