Odd-even formula: Lacklustre dry run today, brace for implementation tomorrow

A day before the 15-day odd-even formula for vehicles plying on Delhi roads comes into effect, the Delhi government today conducted a two-hour coordination trial run of the project between 9 am and 11 am.

The trial run, which was to be conducted at 200 locations, received a tepid response as many of the volunteers who were to be present during the period failed to turn up. This also led to a delay in the scheduled coordination trial.

The idea behind conducting today's trial run was to decide where the civil defence, traffic police and the SDMs' teams would be deployed in order to protect common people from facing disruptions during the next 15 days.
