Lok Sabha Passes Waqf Amendment Bill After Long Hours Of Debate, 288 Votes In Favour, 232 Against

Lok Sabha approved the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 following a lengthy and intense debate. Members of the INDIA bloc strongly opposed the bill, while the BJP and its allies firmly backed it, arguing that the legislation would improve transparency and boost the efficiency of Waqf boards.
