COVID 3rd wave: 'Need to strengthen public health system', says AIIMS Director

All India Medical Association director Dr Randeep Guleria on June 28 addressed CII public health summit virtually. Dr Guleria along with CEO of National Health Authority Dr RS Sharma discussed the importance of strengthening public health system. He said, "As we now prepare for the possibility of the third wave and new variants like Delta Plus, it's important to see what we can do. We need to look ahead and see how we can strengthen our public health system, focusing on lessons we've learnt from past" Dr Guleria said during the conference. Dr Guleria also said that this world should be prepared for the more pandemics as so many different viruses have emerged in last 15 years.
