After clinching a 5-1 ODI series, India's first-ever bilateral series win in South Africa, Virat Kohli & Co will aim for a T20I series win when they take on deflated hosts in the second T20I at the Supersport Park, Centurion, on Wednesday. However, the rain may play a spoilsport as there is an 80 per cent chance of thundershower and that could delay the start of the game. The Supersport Park is expected to be majorly overcast around 9:30 PM IST, which is the 2nd T20I starting time. Currently, India lead the three-match T20I series as they registered a 28-run victory in the first T20I to take a 1-0 lead. FOr more sports news and updates: https://www.indiatvnews.com/sports

Former India opener Virender Sehwag credited wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal for Team India's historic bilateral ODI series victory in South Africa, saying that this was probably the first time that two bowlers have come out as the architects of men-in-blue's victories overseas. "It is not an easy task to beat South Africa in South Africa. It is a big achievement for India. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are the biggest positives for India in the ODI series. What Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh couldn't do, Kuldeep and Chahal have done it," he said. For more sports news and updates: https://www.indiatvnews.com/sports

After scoring an incredible 160-run knock (not out) in the third ODI to lead India to a 3-0 lead in the six-match series, the India skipper admitted that intensity is the factor that makes his score runs like a machine. Talking about his target for four-five years down the line, Kohli said: "Look, I am going to be 30 this year. The decision was in terms of extending the quality of cricket that you want to play at an older age as well. I want to play this kind of cricket even when I am 34-35. That’s why I train so much." Skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday scored an impressive knock of 160 runs (not out) as India thrashed South Africa by 124 runs in the third ODI at Newlands, Cape Town, to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the six-match series. The 29-year-old survived a scare early in his innings when he was given LBW by the on-field umpire in the 3rd over with him being on duck. However, the decision was overruled by the third umpire after the Indian captain opted for the DRS and a faint edge was noticed in the review. South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada was seen sledging Kohli after the on-field umpire adjudged Kohli LBW. However, he had to pay heavily for it as Kohli led his side to 303/6 in the first innings. 3rd ODI: Confident India eye unprecedented lead against wounded South Africa

    February 06, 2018 19:55 IST

Following emphatic wins in the first two ODIs, India will look to take an unprecedented 3-0 lead when they take on wounded South Africa, plagued by injuries, in the third ODI of the six-match series at Newlands, Cape Town, on Wednesday. The Virat Kohli-led visitors outclassed the hosts in the first couple of games in Durban and Centurion by six and nine wickets respectively. Previously, India have managed to win two ODIs in a bilateral series in South Africa -- in 1992-93 and in 2010-11, only to lose 2-5 and 2-3, respectively. But given the circumstances in the ongoing series, with South Africa losing their top three players -- skipper Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock -- to various injuries, the men-in-blue have a bright chance to better their record on South African soil.
