On the second day of Navratri, Brahmacharini, the second form of Maa Durga, is worshiped. Brahma means penance and charini means conducter. Brahmacharini means one who conducts penance. Worshiping this form of Maa Durga gives rise to tenacity, sacrifice, virtue, self-control, etc.
