From the Archives: Arun Jaitley in Aap Ki Adalat (2019)

Arun Jaitley needs no introduction. It was on this day (August 24, 2019) last year that one of BJP's tallest leader Arun Jaitley left for the heavenly abode. Jaitley's presence in BJP or the Modi cabinet was much beyond what his official portfolio suggested. From late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to current PM, Arun Jaitley always emerged as the troubleshooter for the government or the party. IndiaTvNews.com brings to you a special show from the Archives of Aap Ki Adalat featuring Arun Jaitley where he takes on questions from India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma. This was after India's surgical strike against Pakistan-based terror camps.

To put it in Pranab Mukherjee's words, Jaitley Ji was "voice of reason". A leader, administrator par excellence, troubleshooter, articulate, Jaitley was respected above party lines. People in the Opposition admired his oratory and wit. Today, on his death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered his late colleague and friend of many decades.

"On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot. Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary."
