Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's popularity on social media is growing day by day. After crossing 2.5 crore followers on 'X' (formerly Twitter), the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has achieved another milestone by becoming only the third Indian politician to have over 70 lakh followers on Instagram.
He is only behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Prime Minister has 7.97 crore followers while Amit Shah has 78 lakh followers on Instagram. The Chief Minister joined the social media platform (Instagram) in March 2015, and he goes by the name "myogi_aditynath" on his Instagram profile.
CM Yogi is very active on social media
CM Yogi's activism on social media is evident from the fact that since 2015 till now, CM Yogi has made 3,273 posts on his Instagram account. His posts include his speeches from various events, Kanya Pujan, meetings with personalities including sportspersons, and his greeting message on special occasions. These posts have been liked and shared by lakhs of people.
After forming the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, CM Yogi undertook several reforms in diverse sectors, to strengthen law and order and carry out comprehensive development in the state. He ensured good governance as a result of which, his popularity soared on social media. On social media, Yogi is known as the most active Chief Minister. His count of followers on social media platforms is the highest among all Chief Ministers and politicians.
CM Yogi sets new record on 'X'
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister set a new record of popularity by crossing 2.5 crore followers on the social media platform X. Currently, he has 2.62 crore followers on X. In addition, Chief Minister Yogi is active on several other social media platforms as well. On the Koo app, he has 68 lakh followers, making him the most followed person on that platform. Recently, he also joined WhatsApp and has around 3 (2.94) lakh followers on his channel.
