In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old woman was shot dead in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district on Monday morning. The woman was returning home when two assailants from shot at her. She died due to blood loss.
According to her family, the attackers might have been known by the family as well as the girl. SP Jalaun, Iraj Raja said, "The police have already constituted 4 teams and are raiding all possible hideouts. The culprits will be arrested soon."
A clip of the incident has been circulating on social media platforms showing the woman lying in a pool of blood on the road.
RJD attacks Yogi govt over inaction
Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) shared the same video clip on Twitter, questioning the UP government's inaction on the incident. It said, "In Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun, two bike-borne youths shot dead a girl student in broad daylight. Will the wolves of Godi media and the BJP celebrate this death too?"
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said on Twitter, "BJP government = crime"
Just a day earlier, a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in front of the Loknayak Bhawan in Delhi's Tughlak Road area, police said on Sunday. The man identified as Akash was stabbed by an unidentified person around 8 pm, a senior police officer said. The man had been standing in front of the building was stabbed on the upper right side of the abdomen, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Pranav Tayal said, "The motive is unclear though it looks like personal enmity. The man was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he was declared brought dead."
