In a shocking incident, a body of a woman was found in a residential society of the Indirapuram area in Ghaziabad. According to reports, the body was found lying in the fountain outside the ground floor flat. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
On Saturday morning, the body of a woman, Aastha Sharma, was found near Amit Jain's flat on the ground floor of Tower 11 of ATS Advantage Society in Ghaziabad. Amit Jain was out of India and had returned only this morning. His wife and children were present at home.
As per initial investigations, there were injury marks on the head, as happens after falling from a height. The age of the woman is said to be around 30 years. Police say that around 8.30 in the morning, information was received through the security guard about the dead body of the woman. The police immediately went to the spot and took the body into custody. From the looks of it, it seemed as if Aastha Sharma had been lying there for the last several hours.
CCTV Footage
After examining the footage in the CCTV installed in the garden, the Sharma was seen falling into the fountain from above at around 6:40 pm yesterday evening. According to police, the deceased girl Aastha Sharma was a resident of Delhi. She was a BDS student in a private medical college in Ghaziabad. A year ago, she came in contact with Rohit Khanna, a resident of ATS, through the dating app BUBBLE. Police further said, the girl was in depression and was allegedly a drug addict. She allegedly jumped from the top floor (23rd floor) of Tower 11 of ATS Society. The police also found her slippers there. Apart from this, she was also seen going from the lift of the tower.
Posh locality
It is noteworthy that ATS Advantage Society is counted among the most posh societies in Indirapuram area. Indian cricket team player Mohammed Shami, Uttarakhand MLA Umesh Sharma, the owner of Ringing Bell who was jailed in a scam worth crores of rupees, owners of many TV channels and other high profile people live here. The security of the society also remains tight and despite this, the deceased has not been identified even after about 13 hours of the incident.
Rohit Khanna did a film-related course from Boney Kapoor's institute in Mumbai and lives in the second tower of the same society.
