The body of a woman was found in a mosque complex in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, the police said on Sunday (May 19). The incident took place in the Nagla Paima area of the city. Suspecting the case of murder, the police have constituted teams to investigate the incident and nab the accused. The police received the information regarding the recovery of a body of a woman in the complex on Sunday and reached the spot to probe the matter. Upon preliminary investigation, the police said that it seems to be a case of murder.
“Information was received that the dead body of a woman was found in a mosque in the Nagla Paima area under the Tajganj police station. DCP City Agra, ACP Sadar along with Tajganj Police Station reached the spot. Prima facie it seems to be a case of murder,” the police said.
Police take body into custody
The police said that the body of the deceased was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
“The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Teams have been formed to investigate the incident,” the police said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
