Uttar Pradesh: Stones pelted, shots fired after scooter hit property dealer's car in Lucknow | VIDEO

Uttar Pradesh: The man who fired the gun has been taken into police custody and an investigation is underway in this regard. According to DCP East Prabal Pratap Singh, four accused have been arrested in the road rage incident.

Uttar Pradesh: The scooter of a student in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow grazed a car while returning home on Tuesday (May 14). After picking up his five-year-old brother from the school they were on the way to their residence when the incident took place. 

The car owner, Harsh Upadhyay, and his friends beat up the two brothers and then followed them to their home in the Ishwari Khera area in Lucknow yesterday. A fierce fight, involving firing and stone pelting, took place in PGI Kotwali area of Lucknow after a student's scooter hit the car of a property dealer.

Once there, they called some 40-50 people. Soon, stones were being thrown by both sides, showed a video. A man, dressed in a safari suit, was seen firing a gun. The witnesses say four rounds were fired. Two cars were damaged in the resulting violence and the injured were rushed to a hospital, said police officials.

The man who fired the gun has been taken into custody and an investigation is underway, police added.

Road rage incident

According to DCP East Prabal Pratap Singh, four accused have been arrested in the road rage incident. The weapon from which the firing was done has also been recovered. The injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. A case will be registered and strict action will be taken.

There is peace in the area and the situation, said police, is under control.
