UP constable shoots self: In a shocking incident, a police constable shot himself dead with his service weapon in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district. According to Hapur Superintendent of Police, the deceased has been identified as constable Ankit Kumar who took the extreme step on Saturday, March 11.
25-year-old Kumar, a resident of Bijnor district, was transferred from Moradabad to Hapur police lines in February. The Hapur SP further said that the body has been sent for autopsy and an investigation into the matter is underway.
Delhi Police head constable shoots self
In a similar kind on incident on January 26, a Delhi Police head constable died after shooting himself with his service pistol inside Paharganj police station. According to Delhi police officer, head constable Devender, posted in the Jaguar team of Delhi Police's central district took the extreme step at 3.30 am.

Earlier on January 10, CISF constable deployed in 'B' shift duty at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport died allegedly by shooting himself inside the washroom on Level 2 of the airport. The security personnel allegedly ended his life at Delhi's IGI airport by shooting himself with his service weapon.
