Uttar Pradesh: Days after Atiq Ahmed's son Asad Ahmed's encounter, audio of Asad with a builder has gone viral in which he can be heard threatening a builder named Mohammad Muslim. In this audio, Asad is threatening the builder Mohammad Muslim and demanding one crore rupees from him. As per reports, the conversation between Asad and Mohammad took place on January 9. Mohammad Muslim allegedly gave Rs 80 lakh to Asad and as per sources, this amount was used in the Umesh Pal murder case.

Who is Mohammad Muslim?

In 2022, two FIRs were registered at the Dhumanganj police station. As per reports, in FIR No. 290, Mohammad Muslim was mentioned as a co-accused along with Ashraf. In addition to this, he is the main accused in FIR No. 287. This case pertains to a land grab. According to reports, police also interrogated Atiq Ahmed's son in the same matter.

Mohammad Muslim was said to be a member of the Atiq Ahmed gang. He was a builder and Atiq's money was invested in his business.

How Atiq Ahmed was killed?

Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad (60) and his brother Ashraf were shot dead at point-blank range by three men posing as journalists in the middle of a media interaction on April 15 while police personnel were escorting them to a medical college here for a checkup.

The brothers, both jailed in Prayagraj, were in handcuffs when they were killed in full view of camera crews around 10 pm. The horrifying visuals were circulated widely on social media platforms and television channels. The last rites of Ahmad's son Asad, who was gunned down in a police encounter in Jhansi on April 13, were performed here just hours before the shooting.

Briefing reporters about the incident, Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj, Ramit Sharma said the three assailants, who were arrested immediately after the incident, had joined the group of mediapersons who were trying to get sound bites from Ahmad and Ashraf.
