Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the Assembly on Friday and said that injustice has been done to Samajwadi Party leader and Akhilesh Yadav's uncle Shivpal Yadav.

"Injustice has been done to Shivpal Yadav. He will never understand Shivpal's value," Yogi said while addressing the Assembly.

He said that the Opposition is not aware of the ground realities.

"I was listening to the speech of the opposition. After that, I realized that the mandate in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022 by the people wasn't without a reason...Opposition isn't aware of the ground issues. People who are fed with a silver spoon, won't understand the pain of poor, farmers and Dalits. During the SP rule, the bull was in the slaughterhouse, today it is a part of agriculture," Yogi said.

Yogi further alleged that most number of farmer suicide incidents were reported during the Samajwadi Party's rule.

"There were no doctors or medicines available in the government hospitals during the previous government. Today, both are available in the government hospitals," he said.

The Chief Minister exuded confidence that the double-engine government of the BJP at the Centre (and the state) will repeat itself after the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

"The Opposition should decide its path. The double-engine government will be repeated again in 2024," Yogi said.

The Chief Minister noted that the people of the state are a family for the government.

"Does the facility of Ayushman Bharat not include people of UP?...For you, they may be caste, vote bank issue but for us, people of UP are family....People didn't vote for you, they rejected you once again....2024 mein khaata bhi nahi khulne wala ( Samajwadi Party will not be able to open its account in 2024)," he said.

Earlier today, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav hit out at the BJP and alleged that the party is now known by its "hatred and corruption".

"Earlier they (BJP Govt) used to recognise themselves with 'chaal, charitra aur chehra', but now they are known by hatred, corruption, unemployment and inflation...How is a one trillion dollar economy possible without the help of the farmers and without the improvement of the agriculture sector?..." he said in the Assembly.

"An employee of the Leader of the Houses' office lost his life after his vehicle collided with an animal...If he is not safe then what security arrangements are there for the public?... Every other day we come across videos on social media where a 'saand' (Bull) hits a woman, child or elderly in the streets...Is this the dream of a trillion-dollar economy?" Akhilesh asked in a jibe at the government.
