UP: Two killed, three injured after motorcycles collide in Sultanpur

Total five individuals were travelling on two bikes when the collision happened. All of them were rushed to the hospital, however, two lost their lives in the tragic accident.

A tragic accident claimed the lives of two individuals and injured three others when two motorcycles collided near the Shriram Nagar intersection underpass on Monday, police reported.

The incident occurred as Amit Mishra (32) was returning from his in-laws' house in Ugharpur with his wife Anita (30) on their way back to Basti. Their motorcycle was struck by another bike carrying three young men, identified as Suraj (25), Dilip (21), and Swaraj (19).

All five individuals were rushed to Birsinghpur Hospital following the collision. Sadly, Amit was declared dead upon arrival, according to Ramraj, in-charge of the Birsinghpur police outpost. Dilip succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the same hospital.

Swaraj's family subsequently transferred him to a private hospital for further care, while Suraj and Anita were admitted to the Government Medical College by their respective families.

Another accident claimed lives of four people, 32 got injured in UP

Earlier in the day, a bus collided with a stationary truck on the Purvanchal Expressway in Musepur village. The tragic accident claimed the lives of four people while 32 others were injured.

The bus was travelling from Ayodhya to Bhojpur. Speaking of the incident, Superintendent of Police Omvir Singh said, "The bus was en route from Ayodhya to Bhojpur district in Bihar when the accident occurred, and the victims include Ramnivas (45), the bus driver, Kamala Devi (65), Vinod Singh (38), and Sunita Singh (48)."

Further, the police also informed that thirty-two injured passengers were admitted to hospitals in Ghazipur and Mau for treatment, and the bodies of the deceased were sent for postmortem examinations.
