Hardoi: UP Minister of State for Horticulture, Dinesh Pratap Singh, on Wednesday, in a movie-like action, took a prompt step against a cold storage official, who was absent during his surprise visit, and asked the District Horticulture Officer to send his suspension letter in the next 15 minutes, and warned he would be fired at the 16th minute if he missed the deadline.
The minister's strict action came on Wednesday when he visited Hardoi's Bilgram situated cold storage on a surprise visit. As soon as he reached the Ashiwni Kumar Cold Storage, the agitated potato farmers started complaining about the immoral behaviour of an employee.
"Get ready to be fired"
Subsequently, the irritated minister, who had come to the cold storage with his fractured leg, dialled the Lakhimpur DHO and enquired about the absentee employee. After not getting an adequate reply, the minister directed the DHO to send the absentee employee's suspension letter in the next 15 minutes and said, "Get ready to be fired if you don't send me the letter after the deadline".
It is worth mentioning the state ministers have been actively fielding in their regions after SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav asserted that a major political shift would take place if the problems of potato farmers will not be solved. Subsequently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed his ministers to resolve the issues of farmers at the earliest.
