The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has said that poet Kumar Vishwas should publicly apologise for this entire episode. However, Kumar Vishwas on Wednesday filed a complaint alleging that his vehicle was hit by a car of an unidentified person who also 'attacked' CRPF and police personnel deployed for his security, police said. The alleged victim, Dr Pallav Bajpai, on the other hand, has also approached Indirapuram police in Ghaziabad and alleged that his vehicle was hit and the security personnel of Vishwas attacked him.
Dr Pallav Bajpai is undergoing treatment for injuries on his body at Florence Hospital in Pratap Vihar. He said that when his car was stopped by the security personnel, they pulled him down from the car, took him to the side of the road and started beating him. Dr. Pallav said that when they were leaving after beating him. Then a security guard put his foot on his chest and said, 'If he tries to get up, he will shoot him.' Kumar Vishwas' tweet after the incident revealed that the convoy belonged to Kumar Vishwas.
IMA held a press conference in this regard on Thursday. IMA officials have strongly condemned the assault on Dr. Pallav Bajpai and said, this incident is an example of the arrogant behavior of a VIP and his team. IMA has said that Kumar Vishwas should apologise and take punitive action against security personnel. Names of Kumar Vishwas security personnel should also be included in the FIR.
