Vande Bharat Express train was attacked with stones by unidentified men, said officials on Monday. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express train was stones pelted in which its glass panel was broken, they added.
The stone pelting incident took place near Safedabad railway station in Barabanki when the train was going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. When the train reached Lucknow, the escort team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) informed the control room.
After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and launched an initiative to nab the attackers.
The glass of the window near seat number 3 and 4 of coach number C-2 was broken due to stone pelting by anti-social elements, said RPF officials. The attackers are being identified through the footage of the CC camera installed on the train.
Forth attack on Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express train
Meanwhile, this is the fourth stone pelting incident on the Vande Bharat train while going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. However, this is the first incident in Barabanki. The incident is being investigated, said DRM Dr Manish Thaplyal of Northern Railway Lucknow Division.
