In a fresh political development, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has accused the Congress of betrayal and labeled it a "cunning" party. He made these statements during a public rally in Madhya Pradesh's Jatara constituency. Yadav urged the public not to vote for Congress leaders in the upcoming elections and predicted that even the BJP would support a caste-based census as voters demand it as the 2024 general election approaches.

"Do not vote for the Congress. It is a very cunning party. It is now being supportive of the caste census for the sake of votes. If It has betrayed us, how come the public is significant for it," Akhilesh Yadav said at a public rally in Madhya Pradesh's Jatara constituency.

Akhilesh Yadav also criticised the Madhya Pradesh government's infrastructure and women's safety, challenging PM Modi's free ration scheme and referring to the BJP as a "loot-tantrik" government. He is currently on a three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, where the Samajwadi Party has fielded candidates for 72 seats in the upcoming state elections.

The I.N.D.I.A. alliance, consisting of several parties, has been experiencing strain due to seat-sharing conflicts. Congress' UP chief, Ajay Rai, has been at odds with Akhilesh Yadav, with Rai using the term "chirkut" (small-timer) in reference to SP. Yadav expressed confusion about the alliance's purpose, wondering if it is meant for national or state-level battles. Nitish Kumar, leader of the Janata Dal-United (JDU), also expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress's commitment to the alliance and suggested that the Congress is more focused on the upcoming assembly elections in five states.

Madhya Pradesh is set to hold its 2023 assembly elections in a single phase on November 17, with vote counting scheduled for December 3, alongside other states' assembly elections.
