The website of a leading private school in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida was purportedly hacked on Thursday by an unidentified group that identified themselves as "Muslim hackers from Bangladesh". A message displayed on the website's homepage read, "When liberty is at risk, expect us."
The incident came to public attention late at night, and the police stated that they had not yet received any formal complaint regarding the matter.
Bangladesh flag posted
"We are Bangladeshi Muslim hacker's never try to mess our cyberspace. We oppose oppression where we are, we represent freedom, we are simple evolimion of the technological system when liberty is at risk ...expect us... (sic)," read the message on the school's website.
The website showed the national flag of Bangladesh. The hackers signed off message with "Joy Bangla" and "Bangladesh" written after it followed by multiple code names.
Group hacked various sectors within India
The hacking incident occurred shortly after a cybersecurity firm released a report detailing the activities of a hacktivist group named "Mysterious Team Bangladesh," which has reportedly executed multiple distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks since June 2022. The report from Group-IB indicates that the group, primarily motivated by religious and political factors, has targeted various sectors within India.
