Noida police issues traffic advisory for Dhanteras, Diwali festivities

To ensure smooth traffic flow, e-rickshaws, autos, and tempos have been restricted from entering the city from Atta Peer Chowk to Car Market Sector-28 and from Atta Chowk to Atta Peer. This restriction, which was already in place, aims to ease congestion in these areas.

In anticipation of the upcoming Dhanteras and Diwali celebrations, the Noida Police have released a traffic advisory outlining road closures and alternate routes in the Gautam Buddh Nagar city area. The advisory, issued by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate, contains crucial information concerning traffic management during the festive period, which includes Dhanteras, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj. 

Various markets in the city, such as Atta Market, Sector 27, Indira Market, Sector 27, Sector 18, GIP Mall, Garden Galleria Mall, DLF Mall, Brahmaputra Market, Sector 28, Logix Mall City Center, Hoshiyarpur, Shoprix Mall, Sector 37, Botanical Garden, Kasba Kasna, Dadri, and others, are expected to experience traffic congestion.

Additionally, several areas, including Atta Market, Indira Market, Sector 18 Market, DLF Mall, Sector 27, GIP Mall, Garden Galleria Mall, and surrounding roads, have been designated as no-parking zones. Vehicles found parked in these areas will be towed away and penalised as per regulations.

However, commuters and visitors to Atta Market, Indira Market, Brahmaputra Market, DLF Mall, City Center Mall, Gurdwara, GIP Mall, Garden Galleria Mall, and other locations can park their vehicles in designated parking areas inside these establishments and, additionally, at the multi-level parking facility in Sector 18.

Traffic diversions and restrictions will also be enforced at other locations in view of expected traffic congestion. Traffic police personnel are expected to be on duty to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, but public cooperation is also strongly encouraged to make the festive season safer and more convenient for all.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police extended their warm wishes for Dhanteras, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj to the public and urged everyone to utilise alternate routes to avoid inconvenience during the festive period.
