Muzaffarnagar: In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old boy allegedly raped a three-year-old girl at a school in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, a police official said on Sunday.
According to the police, the boy was a student of class 1 while the girl is a student of playgroup. The boy has been detained by the police, while the girl has been sent for medical examination.
Citing the complaint lodged by the girl's family members, police said the girl was taken to the roof of the school and allegedly raped by the boy on Saturday.
Notably, this was not the first time when such a horrific incident occurred in the country. Earlier last year, a similar case was reported in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh's Indore, where a 12-year-old boy raped a 3-year-old girl.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the girl had gone to a grocery shop but was intercepted by the accused. He allegedly lured her with chocolates and took her to his house.
