Moving car catches fire in Noida Sector-119, two charred to death | VIDEO

A horrific incident has been reported in Sector 119 of Noida. A moving car suddenly caught fire, and before people could comprehend, the car was engulfed in flames. There were two people inside the car, and tragically, they lost their lives due to the fire.

Nodia car fire: Two people were charred to death after the car they were travelling caught fire in Noida’s Sector 119 early on Saturday, officials said. The incident took place outside Amrapali Platinum Society in Sector-119, under Sector-113 Police Station limits of Noida. 

Moving car caught fire

The police are taking action in this matter, and efforts are underway to identify the car. Shakti Mohan Awasthi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Noida said that the car was initially stationary and then started moving in the society. As soon as the car started moving, it suddenly caught fire. The police are investigating who was the owner of the car and how the fire started in the car. The police have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.

Awasthi said, "This morning we got information that a white Swift car was burning on the road outside the Amrapali Platinum Societ in Sector 119. Local police and fire police rushed to the spot and the fire was extinguished."

Two charred to death

As per the reports, the car in which the fire broke out is a white Swift. The incident occurred around 6:08 am, and the car was passing in front of the Amrapali Platinum Society. Suddenly, within minutes, the car caught fire. After the incident of the car catching fire outside the society, the police were immediately informed. CCTV footage has also recorded images of the incident.

Following the incident, a team from the Fire Brigade and the police arrived at the scene. It is reported that the two bodies recovered from the car are of males. Both of them died by burning alive as they were unable to get out of the car after the fire. According to the information, the number of the vehicle is said to be of Ghaziabad. "Two bodies have been recovered from the car. Their identification is going on. The car caught fire on its own. Further investigation is underway," the police official said.
