Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the poll rally in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh today (May 16) amid the Lok Sabha Elections campaigning. The PM will also address a series of public meetings in UP on Thursday.
In his address to a public meeting in Lalganj, PM Narendra Modi said, "I am seeing it for the first time that news regarding the festival of democracy in India is all over on the first page of the newspapers in the world. It is evidence of how much importance India's identity has for the world. The world is watching that the people's blessings are with BJP-NDA and on all our friends."
PM Modi added, "It's Modi who has unmasked you. You are a hypocrite, communal. You left this nation in communal fire for 60 years. I am saying it clearly, it's Modi's guarantee 'desh-videsh kahin se bhi, jo bhi taakat ikatthi karni hai kar lo'. You can't end CAA."
"These (Congress) people climb the stairs of power taking the name of Mahatma Gandhi, but they don't remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi had himself ensured these people (minorities living in neighbouring countries) that they can come to India whenever they want. In the last 70 years, thousands of families have taken asylum in India to safeguard their culture and religion. However, the Congress never bothered to think about them because they were not Congress' vote bank," says PM Modi in UP.

PM Narendra Modi said, "SP and Congress, 'dal 2 hain, lekin dukaan ek hi hai'. They sell the things of lies, appeasement and corruption. They have now come up with a 'triple dose' of appeasement."
