In intense criticism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday rebuked the Congress and Samajwadi Party for their poor decision-making, particularly for adopting TMC-style politics from West Bengal in Uttar Pradesh, modeled on 'Tushtikaran'. Addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi, PM Modi took aim at the I.N.D.I.A bloc for wanting to emulate "Trinamool politics" in Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi's remarks come in response to the opposition's selection of TMC leader Laliteshpati Tripathi as the I.N.D.I.A bloc's joint candidate from the seat.

He said, "It is difficult for the SP and Congress to even save their deposit, so they are conducting a political experiment in Bhadohi."

In his speech, labeling TMC politics as 'political protection for terror', PM Modi highlighted, "They (Congress and SP) want to do a trial of TMC's Bengal politics. TMC politics means 'poisonous arrow of appeasement'... Many BJP leaders like Manish Shukla were killed there and TMC's MLAs said 'Hinduon ko Ganga me dubo kar maar denge'. SP is trying to take UP in this direction."."

Further, slamming TMC, PM Modi said, "Trinamool Congress' politics means appeasement, calling Ram temple impure, sheltering Bangladeshi intruders, vote jihad."

Meanwhile, targeting SP chief Akhilesh yadav, PM Modi said, "'Pehale wali bua SP waalon ko pehachaan gayi aur inhe chhor diya isliye ab Bengal se bua lekar aaye hain'... I want to ask 'Babua', the 'Shehzada' of SP, that your 'bua' is so close to you and has come all the way from Bengal, have you ever asked her why she calls the people of UP outsiders in Bengal?"

PM Modi during the speech expressed confidence that the people will vote for the BJP-NDA enabling, while saying that this election is about enabling stable and good governance to both UP and India.
