PM Modi Ayodhya visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the first time after the consecration of the historical Ram temple in the holy city on January 22, visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday amid intense poll campaigns for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections. The Prime Minister offered prayers at the Ram Temple and held a massive roadshow in the city. Uttar Pradesh Chief Miniter Yogi Adityanath also visited Ram Temple and reviewed the arrangement ahead of the PM's visit. He accompanied PM Modi during the 2 km-long roadshow. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government tightened the security in Ayodhya ahead of PM Modi's visit to the Ram Temple. People in Ayodhya will vote on May 20 in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections. The Ayodhya Ram temple has been a key poll factor for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. PM Modi and the other BJP leaders continued to attack Opposition alleging that they hurt the Hindu sentiment by not attending the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
