Congress leader and Lok Sabha candidate Rahul Gandhi held a public rally in Rae Bareli alongside her mother and former MP Sonia Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Priyanka Gandhi.

During his address, Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. He said that he can get PM Modi to speak anything he wants. Rahul Gandhi said, “I asked PM Modi that he never speaks of Adani and Ambani and two days after he took their names.”

He said that PM Modi has accepted his defeat. Now Narendra Modi ji would not become PM, its Good Bye for PM Modi, Rahul added further. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi reached the stage and Rahul Gandhi hugged her. Sonia did not address the rally but delivered brief remarks mentioning her relation to Rae Bareli and urging people to vote for Rahul Gandhi.

Akhilesh Yadav also addresses the rally

The rally was also addressed by UP’s former Chief Minister and I.N.D.I.A bloc ally Akhilesh Yadav. Yadav said that the BJP has been defeated in four phases and the people of Uttar Pradesh have trapped the saffron party in the state.

He recalled the farm bills and asked voters to refrain from choosing the BJP. He asked people to remember the BJP as one who was imposing black law on farmers.  “Our farmers stood up and had to fight, thousands were martyred, they did not back down, they left only when the government withdrew the black law” , said Akhilesh.

He attacked BJP saying, “Those who promised jobs, every word and promise of theirs has been false.” He also accused the BJP of deliberately leaking the question papers so that they do not have to give jobs. Raising concern, he said that the paper of every exam was leaked. “Not one, but more than 10 exams' papers were leaked”, said SP chief.

Taking a jibe at Union Minister Smriti Irani, Yadav asked “Where has inflation reached? We just came from Amethi, the constituency of the “cylinder wali MP” The crowd that we saw there has made the MP surrender.
