A leopard entered Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad District court premises, injuring several people on Wednesday afternoon. According to the news agency ANI, a leopard entered the court premises at around 4 pm. This resulted in chaos among people and bystanders, with all running pillar to post in secure a safe place.
Amid the chaotic situation, the news agency said that the big cat turned more aggressive and injured several people including a woman advocate, police officials, and a cobbler working outside the court premises. Meanwhile, a team of police and the forest department reached the spot and catch the leopard. As per reports, the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Notably, the area is considered as posh region as several top officials and judges of the court reside near the court campus.

Earlier last month, a leopard was spotted roaming inside a group housing society in Greater Noida (West) triggering panic among residents. Following the complaints, officials of the forest department launched a search and rescue operation.
Panic prevailed in the Ajnara Le Garden society in Sector 16 of Greater Noida (West), also known as Noida Extension while the team of Gautam Buddh Nagar forest department rushed to the spot in the afternoon, experts from Meerut were also roped in for the task later in the day, according to an official.
On December 27 leopard was seen
A similar leopard alert was issued by the society exactly one week ago when on December 27 the society's maintenance department informed the residents about a feline's suspected presence on the premises and urged them to avoid outdoor ventures and take caution.
"The department got an alert from the Ajnara Le Garden society this afternoon that a leopard has been spotted in the basement of one of the under-construction towers in the society. Our team immediately reached the spot and launched the search operation to rescue the leopard,” Divisional Forest Officer Pramod Kumar Srivastava said.
